Custom made pitch pine newel caps, for the restoration and conservation of Alexander "Greek" Thomson designed staircase.

5. Pitch pine caps, for a staircase restoration

These newel caps in pitch-pine were made to replace damaged originals on a staircase. I supplied 25mm dowels to enable the customer to fix them securely to the newel posts. The one on the right still had a turned section fixed to the post, so did not need to be completely replaced.
